Stripped Manifold Threads

Over the weekend my Hatori muffler came loose on my Spectra and on the second time it stripped the threads in the head of the engine. Has anyone successfully put nuts on the back side, or is there even enough room?

Your best bet is to get the head inserted with Helicoils, they work very well.
