Mini Servo Mod .06 WOW Futaba

Seen this @ the other site......I don't like posting like this but want to see what the freaks with the Trex500
think of this mod...This would make it the fastest mini servo with futaba...do you guys think this would work good long term.

Interesting find! I am sure as speed goes up torque goes down so I am not sure it OK to use the 9650's torque rating. It's probably closer to a 9257's torque now.

According to the guy
Torque 4.7/1.81 = 2.6 Kg
Speed 0.11/1.81 = 0.06 s/60

Those are DAMN good specs...thats 92 ounces btw:wink:

I thought that the S9257 was just the S9650 with the different gears.

I wonder what the specs for an S9257 on 6 volts is? Probably exactly the same. :)

Actually read further and surprise, at 4.8 volts the "new" servo had exactly the same specs as the S9257 at 4.8 volts.

Someone needs to see if there really is a difference in the motors. :)

BOB........ you are correct, he did state that the torque
is around half of what it was originally on the 9650.
