I'm new to the Nitro Heli's, but not to the Elec. I just received a New V2 30Raptor with a OS32 that has never been flow. The folks i got this bird from gave me a header tank and said i was going to need this. I have read Raptor Technique and understand the usage of the tank. My question is, when i mount the Tank ( http://www.promodeler.com/Products/PDR0016/ ) it stands off the Airframe about 1/2IN. Is this the way it is done, do i have the wrong tank. I have inserted the Rubber O ring in the mounting hole and test fitted it but it dont seem right.
TIA

Sounds like you have it right. If you want to be sure about what hole it is mounted to, download a manual for the R50 SE, they are the same frames and the R50 SE comes standard with the header tank. You can get a manual for it at Heliproz.com for free.

Thanks for the reply, but it does not say anything about the space between the tank and the frame. i would hate to put this tank on and it not being right.

Mine is sitting about 1/2 inch. I'm currently building a 90 and it's about the same distance so I wouldn't worry about it

I don't think the distance "off" the main frame makes any difference.
On my R60 the header is almost touching the main frame and in the R90SE it came with that 1/2" spacer, the only problem is that in one "sideway landing" (or crash as other people use to call it) I broke the plastic holder due to the gap between the header and the frame so now I got rid of the spacer and use a much shorter one so it sit almost touching the main frames

Next question about the Tank, After i mounted mine, the tank sits close to the top of the main tank and the clunk is about center to the tank. is this an Issue ? . i know what raptor technique says about this, but just wanted the Pros advice..
Again

Thats what you want, look at the header tank, the fuel feed should be inline with the carburetor, that is so you get steady fuel flow to the carb. Mount it up and go fly

If the machine has the stock, Thunder Tiger fuel line (thin, almost clear, and very flexible), replace it before flying. It does not last well at all (sometimes only a few tankfuls-I know of one case where it lasted for one tank only).
The black Hayes line works well. Make it a bit shorter than you think (about 3/16's" shorter) and use a larger fuel line as a clamp around it at both the clunk end and the nipple for the tank fittings. The Hayes line tends to grow in length and to swell a bit, so you do not want it to fall off in flight.
