[quote=sokal;702960]pull and hold the timer(trainer switch) for a few seconds then relese you will see the timer count down. settings for this is in the last menu on the first set of settings
so you can change what it does

Ok so it will start counting down but for what?

By the way I dont have a heli yet but I thought it would be a good idea to get some info ahead of time.

to help you time your flights to help prevent over use of the lipos

after awhile you will know the time but help you not forget

mostly timers are used for nitro pilots

you can set it to count down or up.....I have mine as down and when it reaches zero it counts up and beeps constantly so when you do land you know the total time. ie set for 6 mins beep beep beep beep beep.....land.....look at timer......says up 47 sec.....so total is 6:47

as stated be for you can hook up two TX so that a skilled heli guy can back u up if you get in to a situation

or what they call a buddy box

its how you hand the contols over to the other remote then to switch it back

has no effects on the heli

I've never had the chance to hook up with another but yeah, its both.....I think I programmed it to control the timer......so if I had a chance to use the buddy system I would have to change something in the programming, I think.

You get into your set up menu, schroll down to timer (you might have to go into the set up list submenu which is the last option in the first menu, at work right now and do not recall just where it is). Highlight the values you want to change. If you want to count up, highlight up or down, click your wheel, roll it to change it. Do the same with the time. Really easy once you get use to how to select options and change values in there.

etrain, you really should try reading the manual that was put up for you. I can measure my b400 skids if you wish, just exactly what do you want to know? Also, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you invest in a simulator, if you havent already done so.

You can check out the manuals from Eflite at the following link if you like.

When I was looking at the B400, I read them over to see what I woud be getting myself into.

And you might consider going ahead and getting a couple of feathering shafts and a set of flybars at the same time you pick up you new B400 :P, maybe even a set of mainshafts. My first flight off the ground took out all of the above + the top mainshaft screw....
