I have already post to vstabi forum but i decided to post also here because i know that here there are many persons who have a lot of experience with vstabi.

I have only 18 flight with my Logo5003D but i have a problem with my vstabi unit. It doesn't memo the setting.

Well i have restart from default a new config.

I have used the wizard to help me to setup correctly the swash (but also with the standard mode was fine). So i have used subtrim for calibrate TX signal to Vstabi signal, setup the zero pitch and swash leveler, check out the max and min pitch to 13°.

After i have switched IC sensor and Clicked on Logo500 on AOF. Also checked the pirouette optimization (+33) and all seems to work fine.

Finally in Sensor Calibration menu i see the the point in in center of the green circle and it remain inside the circle even if i rotate the heli on his main shaft.

So all looks fine.

I tried it at the field in classic mode and the heli needed just one click to trim to right and one click to elevator (because the tail went down).

After i checked in flight the pitch end points and the heli goes straight.

But the problems are:

1- After 2 days i go again to the field and the heli with no variations in flight parameters goes to left and back. I recheck the swash trim value and was like the same as i have put. I have try to restart the system many times with no success. I have to trim it again...
And this all the times i return at the field. So seems that vstabi doesn't rec my config even if in software i see the right value.

2- During the flights when i do some 3D manouvers i see that when i have the pitch stick near the center (neutral point) the heli is not stable and it goes slightly where it wants. This also when i change from positive to negative pitch.
I have try also the Timo W. setup with gyro Deadband at 0 but with no success.
Can it be a problem of blades? (Mscomposit carbon 550mm).

Let me know what you thing. The most frustating thing is the lost of trim config. :(

My config:
Logo5003D
9451s
9256
AR7000
Neu 1910H/1Y
Kontronik Jazz 80--6-18
MSComposit 550mm carbon
Stock tail blades
Hercules BEC HV
FP 5000mah 6s

Thanks
Adriano

It's not perfect, but once you have a setup, you can save it to disk for later loading...

But in the software the trim value are the same. So why the heli goes well when i setup it and after a day or two when i start to fly even ifthe trim value are the same, the heli goes left and back as the FIRST setup?

This is strange.

Are you running a spektrum radio ?
Sounds like your v-bar is seeing a trim offset from the recievers stored settings.

The v-bar initializes before the spektrum links up, so the v-bar uses the recievers failsafe position as a neutral point. When the radio links up, the transmitter may have a slightly different neutral point.
Re-bind the transmitter and reciever and all should be well.

Yes i use DX7 system. Interesting point of view... I will try. But i have to rebind only one time?

Rebind once, yes.
This is a fairly simple thing, causing big issues for some people.
Supposedly there will be a software update to the v-bar to work around the spektrum's variable, sometimes long, link up time.
It's not really an issue once the settings in your transmitter match your failsafes in the reciever.

Nathan

If this is true, in my opinion the best way is to put a little delay on vstabi unit so it starts when TX-RX system is ready.

OK WELL FINALLY MY LOGO500 ROCKS!!!!

It was a BINDING problem, so i want to thanks very much Nathan for the right tips and also i want to thanks John (th3tick) for his config file that gives me some more right idea about the vstabi system.

Now i have only to try another set of blades because while the overall performance is increased, when i pass in the middle from positive to negative pitch the heli goes a little to left or right, but not when i pass in the middle from negative to positive.

I will try BBT Maniac 553mm. Have anyone try those blades alright?

Just passing on the help that RJohn gave me in getting that config file closer to right

Is this also the case with the Futaba 14mz on 2.4 gig? I have a Vbar problem where the nose is allways dropping. Just wondering if this is my problem also.

I don't know about Futaba.

But all i can say is that i never done again the binding process until last time. So i think that ihave done it bad the first time before setting up right the heli.
