this is the plane i'm thinking of getting come springtime.

this will be my first fixed wind aircraft. one of the biggest reasons i want this, is that you can upgrade it with more aggressive wings and a dual fan power system for pretty cheap. the tx i'm sure is a throwaway, but i've got an extra rx lying around so i can use my futaba tx with it. i've also got several lipos sitting around that will fit in the stock spot, so that's another plus- not having to buy yet another size lipo. the foam it's made out of looks pretty tough, and of course the vid makes it look easy to fly. i've got realflight g2, and after i'm done torturing myself with the helis i find myself flying the planes for an hour or so. as far as i can tell, i've got the needed skill to at least fly and land it w/o crashing lol- and i think this would be good for those days when i just don't have the patience and concentration for my helis. any input from the freaks?

It looks nice. A guy at work ordered one not too long ago, but I have been home sick and haven't seen him, but with the weather I doubt he has flown it.

so it doesn't look like too much of a piece of crap at least? i know pretty much any rtf you get, the quality might be questionable. do me a flavor, and the next time you talk to him, see what his take on it is. even if he hasn't flown it, just the general build quality. of course, i'm saying now that this will be the only plank i get, and the mods and upgrades will be to a minimum. i will surely be doing the wing and dual fan upgrades along with the bl motor, but that's where i intend to end it. but if plank flying is anything like helis, then i'll have a few by the end of the upcoming summer lol. do you have any recomedations for something that might be "better" for me? i really don't want to build, being that i don't know jack about these. i've been looking at some of the reciever ready planes that horizon has, but this one stood out for some reason.

dont get a ducted fan or a pusher set up as fist plank, props are the best when park flying due to the ability to take off and land at low speeds and short runs.good luck

My neighbor has one. Pretty slow and docile. Landing speeds are barely over a crawl. Elevator is VERY small and with the stock wing, there are no ailerons. He crashed it when trying to fly it with a 3S 2100mah pack - even with the CG correct. He said he had no elevator authority when it went in.

its a popular plane, i go for funfly style planes rather than the scale type. the larger wing area and lower wing loading make ideal park and schoolyard flyers... take a look at profile foam like , "charger rc .com...these are very inexpensive and can be set up as trainer..or full 3D.

The PZ T-28 is a great flying airplane. And people who have them seem to enjoy the heck out of them.
There have been some problems with the Rxes (glitching), BEC (burning up due to too high current draw), servos (noisy poor performaning digitals), but most are fine.
I would get the PnP version is stick an AR6100 in it. And probably replace the servos with better ones.

i could only stick an ar6100 in it if i had a dx6 or 7. i don't, so it'll be a shitty futaba r156 for now.
