Orbit 30-12HE pinion

Bruce's head calc says 15 or 16 if based off current config with 1912. I keep reading 16 or 17. I am currently running 2,200 Headspeed with a 13T and feel I could run a 12 and keep the same headspeed. Which pinion should I start with?

Get the 17T and try it. We have best results with it. headspeed range from 2250 up to 2400
