Servo Help needed, I have replaced gears before with no problems, but now I have wanked the case on my 9253. ( Main case, not the top) I managed to put a small hole in the side of it in a crash. Dang jesus bolt failure :^(
I tried to take it apart, but even after taking the bottom off, and taking the gears out of the top I cant get past the circuit board to get the rest of the parts out of the case. I have another case for a 9253, but am afraid I'm going to mess it up trying to fix it without some experienced advise.
Any helpful replys will be very appreciated.

Thanks,
Dwight Hayden

The electronics of the servo will come out thru the bottom of the case. All the compontents are just press fitted into the case. Should be able to push on the pot and motor shaft stick up on the top side to get it started moving out the bottom of the case.

Thanks for the quick reply! I figure when I'm in unfamiliar territory its better to ask first than try pushing and forcing anything, . Less costly that way ;^)
There was some white glue like stuff around the end of the circuit board where the wires go through the case. It had the bottom stuck pretty good on that end. Any suggestions on what to use there to seal it up again from fuel etc. Would RTV sealer work, or is the silicone in it bad for circuit boards?

Sometimes they will take a bit of force to get out because there is some type of sealent or liquid nails holding the motor in at the top as far as the white sealent goes I believe it is actually rtv silicone.

Some of the silicone based sealers are very corrosive. Make sure the one you select is approved for electronic applications. Michale Prewett of Raptor Technique uses Goop.
