With about 11 flights on a brand new Raptor 903D, I was checking over it, and noticed the gear mesh was slightly loose between the orange tail drive gear and the small, white driven gear.

Obviously, I do not want to have a tail drive failure. I do not recall any way to adjust this mesh, only the mesh between the main (white) gear, and the pinion.

Has anyone else run into this?

Thank you.

I'm still building mine but the main shaft can be adjusted some. I remember the manual said when you install the main shaft, loosen the bearing blocks and wiggle the shaft to align the bearings. Maybe you can move it closer to the tail gears then set up the mesh on the pinion again.

Vandlescrow,

I will start pulling capscrews strategically to see fi there is any fore and aft movement. There is vertical movement in the lower main shaft bearing block, I just don't recall any fore and aft (and it is only a few weeks since i assembled that part).

Thank you, and I hope yours is coming along well.

These things fly very, very well.
