That is not a beginners airplane. :)
And they have recommended motor, ESC, battery and servos for it.
I tend to buy my small plank servos from whoever has them on sale. Last time I checked the cheapest on Hitec HS-55s (my standard micro) was Epyaya (www.epyaya.com) at $45 for 4. The do go on sale every so often for under $10, and I buy a few each time I find a sale.

I would Recomend a charger (the cr-2 is more stable then the first)you can get one at http://www.chargerrc.com You can also get your servos and speed control from there to. for a motor you could use a haker 20-22L. I am using an esskay with a 9X4.7 from hobby-lobby http://www.hobby-lobby.com/brushless-skatty.htm it is only 19.99 (really i get about one min less of a fly time then with the more expensive motor. I do have most of them.) li-po use a 3 cell from a 700 20c to a thunder power 1320. less wait is better!

Ginvent before you do anything take a look at this http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=618732
I was thinking of starting into foamies, and this is what I decided on. I now have my basic kit, hot motor and carbon fiber bracing, ready to start building tomorrow. It can be a powered glider or a 100 mph hot rod

Thankd for all the info guys I now have aq idea on what electronics will go onto the airframes. as for wicth plane I am really only interested in a 3D foamie or a FAI foamie and now I only have to deside on wicth kit, The Biplane looks nice but I might want a different design. are these foamie durable? will they survive a bad landing? a tree landing? can they fly slow if so how slow? what do you think easier (assuming a sims avalible) flying a Trex 450 in FFF and funnels or a 3D foamie on high rates?

I have a Great Planes Flatout Flatana. It flies pretty good, but it doesn't handle hard landings too well. Any little mishap and you'll be spending some time with the extra foam in the kit and some CA. (You'll need pleanty with any foamy though) From what I hear, they are about the hardest foamy to build too. I didn't have any trouble building mine except when I found they left out the motor mount stick half way through the build. Just go over to RC Universe. They have a ton of information about building these things, and about which ones are the best. I have already procured the replacements for my Flatout. I found a great deal on two Yak Byps by E-flite, so I'm going to give them a try when the inevitable happens. By the way, the Flatout was my first plane to build, and fly too, but I put in quite a bit of research before I started. Hope this helped.

I had one of these as well...HAD that is:mad: Flies great in low wind conditions and indoors but is very fragile. Are you looking for more of an indoor model or just something small? I personally have been flying the Airfoilz planes...much bigger than this Bipe but can take a beating and fly great. Take a look...www.3dxhobbies.com

Pick up several Yak-55's from Hobby-Lobby http://www.hobby-lobby.com/yak55.htm
It's on sale for $16.90!
Use the Esskay 400 motor for 19.99. HS-55 servos or whatever you can find cheap. 3 cell Li-po 800 mah. About the only thing I recommend that you do is to add a piece of triangle stock balsa down the fuselage, it makes it stronger and it flies super good! You can throw the travel way out and add some expo.....flies like a dream! The other trick is not to use the glue in hinges, pick up some hinge tape and tape all of the control surfaces.
