Go to this thread:
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=52823

Go to post 81 where Scott from RC-TEK says:
We have been shipping them for the past 5 days. Sales are so crazy we haven't even added them to the site, but will get it done soon. Build threads are poping up on RCG and I think I saw one on this site too.

Scott

If you want one, please email us. The demand is outweighing the supply so we are not adding them to the site just yet.

Scott

Hi,

1. You sent us three emails and the first one we replied to in minutes.

2. You are in the UK and we are in the USA so the time difference affects when we can get back to you.

3. We replied to your latest email so I do not see the issue, but apologize if it was not fast enough for you. We are very busy with the release of these new helicopters and receive hundreds of emails and calls per day - yet we do our best to handle everyone in a timely manner.

Scott

Actually, this is not the true SJM325-CF PRO production model and does NOT include:

- The upgraded SJM500 200mm disk high-performance tail.
(the one pictured is the 110mm disk tri-blade now made available for the smaller SJM400 as it did not test well on the original pre-production SJM325. The proper tri-blade for the SJM325 would be the much larger SJM500 tri-blade).

- The CF main blades.

- The CF tail blades.

- Free 15mm boom upgrade kit when available in 1-2 weeks.

- 40A programmable ESC.

- The proper 3800KV motor

Can you see “why” they are selling so cheap now?? When you order from a legit distributor like us who was actually involved in the design and factory testing, at least you know you are getting what you paid for along with the proper support.

I am not sure what you mean "what its worth", but those who have received the correct model over the past week love it and are reporting how GOOD of a value it is. Typically, helicopters with this level of parts fit, finish, quality, and performance would cost two to three times as much. Yes, the SJM's are exotics and may not appeal to everyone, but do not knock it until you try it. A 3D-Masters Europe pilot will make a video of what the bird can do next week.

Did I also mention you will not get the free RC-TEK 3pcs hex driver tool set or SJM hat from them?

Anyway, please let us know if you need anything in the future and feel free to email me directly if you are not getting a fast response.

Well, once we add the parts to the site, you should be able to get them and slowly update your helicopter if needed. The main differences will be the complete tail assembly, boom, motor, (ESC), main blades, and tail blades. I am not sure if your main blade grips and main shaft collar will have the thrust bearings like they should on the final production units so look for that when you get your kit. It looks to me like they are dumping early models that were not meant for release (although this is common in Asia to recover costs).

My for what its worth statement was not about the heli. Hell, I like it. I just should have said that Flying -hobby had them listed. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I also think if you would list them on your site, you might stop some of the confusion.

No problem - I misunderstood your terminology. Yes, we will get them on the site shortly so people have access to the correct specifications.

What tail assembly did you get - the smaller SJM400 110mm tri-blade with the plastic blades (as shown on their site) or the larger SJM500 200mm dual blade with the CF tail fins? Did you also get the tools and other extras?

Anyway, regardless of the Chinese trying to confuse the market with an inferior version of the helicopter, I am happy you are satisfied with your purchase.

Take care,
Scott

Looks exactly the same to me. I would think they all come from the same factory in China.
Can find most of the stuff on alibaba.com pretty much all the chinese manufactuers and vendors are listed there.

No, they are different (we should know - we helped on the engineering side). Yes, they do come from the same factories in mainland China and Taiwan. Again, the problem is the Chinese vendors are trying to sell a version with the wrong tail assembly a few other "pre-production" features that were changed before the official release. Additionally, the kit does not include the extras we listed so it is not a direct comparison. Although the vendors are free to do whatever they wish at the risk of being cut off and people are free to buy from whomever they wish, my only point is to warn those considering the SJM325 that there is a reason why the helicopter is less money (not that much) than going through normal channels. Nothing more - nothing less.

At any rate, there are plenty of newer pictures showing the difference and the larger tail assembly. Like I said, if a tri-blade is desired - the larger SJM500 tail is the correct platform solution; not the smaller SJM400 tri-blade, which works great on that specific helicopter.

Scott

Yes they have the tail system also. That is the problem with dealing some of the manufactuers in the far east. The term exclusive means nothing to them. They are in the business to sell the items they manufactuer. They can sell them to someone else just as easy as they send them to you. Really no exclusive deal. Take the Trex for example, there is many clones of it on the market. Most of them parts are interchangable. Align just happen to get in the ground floor with the micro electrics. That is how they maintain there customer base..
Majority of people are going to see pictures and say, hey this is the same heli and it is X number of $ less,I will just get it. Coming from same factory , difficult to say one is inferior to the other. Just the way it is.
