I am a new volunteer at the American Helicopter Museum http://www.helicoptermuseum.org. where I found an older model of the Hirobo Aerospatiale SA 315B Lama (6/99 donation) in storage. I would be grateful to find a source for an electric file with the manual of this helicopter, which is needed for me, along with other staff at AHM, to restore it to flying condition, if possible.

This 30 size Lama has a OS glo engine, Futaba Rx FP-R4F Mode II, Futaba gyro FP-G151 (1984 discontinued), three Futaba 1C FP-57 servos and one Futaba 1C FP-57L servo (servos were not found at Futaba web site). It is missing one servo for tail blades pitch, has wood blades with blade grips and is also missing any grip attachment, except two holes for spindle below the fly rods.

I obtained a part listing from Jeff Green based on the above description, but no manual. It would greatly help to have the 30 Lama manual with parts explosion to figure this out for restoration.

I have received a electronic file with parts list of newer model of Hirobo Lama, but it is very different from older model. I am getting help here from MRC/Hirobo team contact that is local to me.

See these pics of GMP Competitor/Cobra flybar and swash plate, along with engine and electronics in canapy area.

I ordered the GMP Competitor/Cobra rotor head and blade grips from MP Helis (last one? - no longer posted there).

Still need to find a manual of 25 year old (1983 vintage) GMP Hirobo Lama Aerospatiale SA-315B.

Manuals and all other docs for the old GMP helis are here:

This guy on RR just built a totally NIB Hirobo Lama, so he should have the manual. See the post halfway down this thread by RR user DenisS:

good luck!
