Anyone know of of any impending release of a Futaba Tx comparable to the JR X9303 2.4GHz? It would seem that Futaba have a huge hole in their line up from the 7C 2.4 to the 12FG 2.4, I am hoping that they might have something to bridge the gap in both functionality and price.

Ya gotta think that no, they don't have one in the immediate works, and even if they announced it today, it would be 6-9 mos away. Take note, that if they did have one, they would be using it as a carrot to keep you away from the alternatives, ie the X9303, ala what both Futaba & JR did by pre-announcing their radios. That sucker punch worked once, and I did indeed wait for the X9303 to finally be delivered, but we had to wait a long time. Futaba was no better with their offerings either.

Yep if they had one I would have bought it. As long as the CCPM was not as slow as the 9C

DebianDog,
I see you made the switch from a 9C to an X9303, how do they compare?

Good. Just miss the stick timer on the 9C but programming is a tad easier.
The 9303 seem like lightning fast, compared to the old 9C, with stick movements.

I've heard rumblings and I remember a representative for Hobbico said he expects there to be a 9C 2.4 but it will be module based. Take it for what it's worth.
I would hope they would rework the entire radio and make it fully integrated and speed up the CCPM processing. I have the 9C Super now and I'm trying to hold off to see what Futaba does before I go with the 9303 2.4.

The 8 channel module is the best you are going to do unless they come out with a native version. The modules require the system to run in PPM mode which is only 8 channels, so even a module based system isn't going to be any faster.
:(
If they ever get any more x9303's in stock I guess I'm going to need a new neck strap and shirts

Barracuda--
That's what I figured...I guess I'll have to make the switch sometime soon. I don't have the money to get one of Futaba's 12-14 channel radios and I'd like to avoid a module based radio. Oh well. At least I can still use their servos and gyros.

Does that mean that we should look closely to reports from Nuremberg Spielewarenmesse as well ?? ;)

I head that the 9C Super Modules are coming out mid March. I can not find a source for it, so if anyone is in the know... I sure would like the part numbers...

Here is the 8 channel module and receiver that will be used in the 9C. You will only have 8 channels when using the 2.4 ghz module and rx in the 9C.

Or you can get the 7 channel module and reciever and use it. It is in stock now.
