Hi,
How can I charge two 3S1P packs (FP 2170 mAh evo 25C) with my BC6, including the set-up for the balancing leads? Is there an adaptor somewhere? It is to fly with my T-rex 500 and my Hurricane.
Or, can I charge one pack at the time and get a good performance with these batteries on the long run? I will always fly the same 2 packs together (I have 4 pairs of these packs) and since I have two BC6, I was wondering if I could just charge them individually..
In other word, the fact that they are always used together, is it enough or do I also have to charge and balance them together in series?
Thank you

You need the new Bantam EAC149 board.

Great these connector boards will make life really easy
So
Charging at 1C
I connect the power leads from two 3s 2200 packs in series as 6s (22.2v total 2200mah charged at 2.2amps) 22.2volt x 2.2amps = 48.84watts
will i see a decrease in charge time charging as 6s compared to charging the 3s packs separately?
usually takes about 45 mins each when charged one at a time.
Thanks for the info

Any time you have a single channel charger such as the 902, you can only charge packs that are very close in voltage. The PB6 is more tolerant of voltage differences since its bleed rate is very high (500ma), but still heats up very quickly with significant voltage differences between packs charged in series. For example, I charged two FP 4900 6S batteries that were 22.2 and 21.9 volts per pack and ended up with one very hot PB6 (of the two) and current limiting to the point where the full charge took 75 minutes compared to the 40 minutes for a single 4900. If you discharge and charge all batteries at the same time, you will be ok but don't expect to run them individually (like in a T-Rex 450) then charge 2 or four at a time, each with different voltages unless they are very close.

I am currently flying a Hurricane using two 3s packs in series
i always check and record pack and cell voltages for my records and the packs i use are very well matched and have almost exactly the same voltages. +/- 0.02Vmax
I wouldnt do this with individual packs from smaller helis as you say they would not be close enough to charge safely together.
I will be charging 3300 mah packs at a charge current of about 2.3amps
thanks for your input

The new EAC14x "Multi Battery" connection boards are now instock and shipping. Each board will include an instruction sheet on the board regarding making your connections.
I do recommend that the user either purchase or make a lipo battery extension when they use these boards. The balance tap length off the battery is very short and depending on that length could put a strain on battery balance tap. This is just my observation.
