Hi all, well my 600 nitro is ready for a test flight. I was wondering if it is important what percentage fuel I use to to break in the OS 50 hyper engine. I have 30 percent standing by But I thought maybe it would be better to go with a less of a nitro percent like maybe 15%. Any input would be appreciated.

Hello HeliGuy50;
I ran 15% for the first 4 gallon, move to 20%, than up to 30%.
Now running Cool Power 30% or Wildcat Helimix 30%, what ever is in stock at my local hobby shop!!
I hope this help!!

you can use any from 15-30% Nitro just how much power you need and want ... the most importent thing is 18% or more on the oil 20% is better

I'm new at helis also. 600N. So I have to rely on common sense combined with advice from wise club members. So I figure this is simply a money issue. It is not necessary to spend extra money for the 30% if the only type of flying you will do initially is hovering and simple patterns to improve on orientation skills. The available extra power will never be utilized. Why not just use the 15% nitro for your first 5 gallons? The money saved in those 5 gallons will buy your first 30% gallon. Until you can fly upside down backwards at 50 mph 3 feet off the ground, stick with the 15%. Wildcat makes it.

Broke it in with the same % that we planned to run it on (30%) (I think the manual for the OS 50 Hyper recommends this).
