I'm getting a little tired of jr pushing back the release date, I'm wanting a 50 nitro and before I pull the trigger on a trex600n I want to see the vibe 50. The only thing that disappoints me is the lack of carbon fiber frames. Everything else looks way cool. I think its a better looking heli than the trex and I would like to buy something that not everyone else has (like the trex)!

I'm also awaiting the release of the VIBE 50.
With the product having this many release problems I'm worried that the parts are going to be a little hard to get. And who and when will be releasing aftermarket upgrades (CF, ETC)

I know, it was supposed to be out last summer. I wonder what the hold up is, I've heard so little about it.
Sy has some info on it at http://www.littlerotors.com I guess he caught one of the test pilots at his field playing with one.

If the production one is the same as the prototype this will be a very nice heli. There is one parked on the counter at Flightcraft in Kitchener, Ont. I'm assuming it's Scott Gray's Prototype. Should I go a take a picture of it for you to see?

Some Pictures of Scott Gray's Prototype. This canopy was painted yellow by Arizona Heli. The production one's will be White. Also the tail gear box assembly is smaller and lighter on the production model. This model is out of the box ready to withstand the forces in flight of the top 3% of pilots apparently.

these pictures don't do it justice, it looks better up close. One of the nicest canopies I've seen. back of the canopy is curled in for better backwards flight. Great on the little details.

I think I'm gonna start purchasing all the support equipment now so that all I gotta get is the air-frame when it comes out. I'm going with a YS50, JR770/8900g, and probably the BLS servos from futaba I think the 451s not sure the number. Havent quite decided on the governer yet or muffler yet.

Don't do it. Wait for the bird to hit the street first. I bought my stash for the aurora in 2006...
Get the picture? Altough you can't compare JR to CX, there still can be a major earthquake somewere and hold things behind.
My two cents
Tony
PS - I'm in for one too :)

Yeah but if this thing takes too long I can always get a Trex 600n! I would just buy the parts that would work on both birds.

I saw and even flew Scott's kit version heli last weekend. I is quick but stable and predictable. From What I understand it is about 1/2 lb lighter than the prototypes. Scott tried to break the tail drive and the heli one. It looks and feels like a much higher quality heli than my 600n.

Glad he made it down there, His dad asked me if I would be driving down there that weekend. I wasn't sure, I missed it, ended up in Houston, TX heading to San Antonio, TX right now. Will be there on Wednesday. Nice Heli though isn't it.....I'll replace my Skippy down the road with it.

I know that Bud at Quick UK is planning on producing some upgrade parts. Carbon frame set, alloy parts etc. I've used his parts on my Airskipper 50 for a while now. The quality is excellent and they definately do make a difference to how the machine performs.

Would you have a link to a site so I could look at his AirSkipper parts possibly?

Here's the link to the Quick UK Airskipper upgrade page.
http://www.quickuk.eu/cat/jr_parts/air-skipper_30_50_parts.html
I have the carbon frame set on my own Airskipper 50. It saves about 60 grams in weight and if you use the K&S carbon boom as well you can get the weight down by about 85-95 grams in total.
I also use a coloured QUK skid set as it gives a little more ground clearance (a good thing at our field) and its slightly wider and therefore more stable, especially for auto's.
I've put some photos of my AS50 with the QUK Carbon frames & Carbon boom supports, and also a K&S Carbon boom in my album.
Hope this helps
Garry :cheers

Yeah these dates seem to change frequently! I think I'm gonna order the support parts, pratice on the sim and get aggressive on my trex450 and wait another 2 weeks. If nothin happens then I'll probably buy a Trex600n and beat on it until the Vibe50 comes out.
