Thanks John.... Because my hand is screwed up I cut and pasted and screwed it up!
So you know I turned down surgery on simi recommendation from the Doc. I tore fully one fingers ligament (the 3rd fingers ligmnent is completely gone). No bone chips. I know it will be years for my hand to be the same but I made that choice today.

I sure hope Helifreak has a healthcare plan!
I perscribe you 35000Ahs of electrons a day, plus 3500CCs of nitro a week, you'll be fine:YeaBaby:

OK more vids POSTED!
I am surprised at the low comments and view count for this heli?
Why is that? Inquiring minds want to know your opinions please? Is it because this heli is hard to get? Because it is harder to build? WHY?
I got a feeling that this heli will ROCK... Maybe it's because many want to see how it flys first?
Honestly.... WHY so low a interest? Please share your opinions!

IMO I think it is due to overall cost. When you first posted your videos i got really excited because i am getting ready for something bigger and i was looking at a Trex 500 or a Hurricane 550. I did a small spreadsheet using combinations from the Mikado forum people are using and no matter what i do the Mikado 500 3D is 35% higher in overall cost. It could also be that we respect your opinion ten fold and want to see it fly first.

Their are more new fliers that see the Logo as too much heli then there is experience ones that see the logo as an option for the next heli. Compare to your other build videos were the helis featured made a good first or second heli The logo I feel seems to people as a heli only to get after you have mastered flying and do not crash much, To me it seems allot of logo flyers (logo 500 specifically) are reformed T-rex flyers, who have surpassed the capabilities of the T-rex on 6S and are looking for a airframe more capable with the Lipos they already have (6S 4000mah+) .I do think that the video will turn more people on to the heli that has a rep as a great heli but a expensive one, just give it time. I think allot of people that think Logo think “OMG I need to get 10S lipos a 300$ Jazz ESC a 611 and if I crash ill need to Re-Kit” not true in many cases. My first large heli (500mm Blade plus) will be a logo if nothing else comes out, that’s coming from a 450 as my only heli. Be sure to give your take on which fliers you think are ready for a logo? Experienced, new, rich?

I'm not quite sure I get your math. The T-Rex 500 is a lot smaller, and I have read (here, mostly) that the Hurricane is a "you get what you pay for" kinda heli. Maybe I'm wrong about the Hurricane, but I doubt it's quite the same in the air as the Logos are.
I know it not including the ESC and motor is an issue, but I rather prefer it this way. That gives me better options of going to the motor and ESC I want to instead of paying for parts that I'll only use for a bit or not at all.
Then there are folks who are put-off by all the plastic. It does take some getting used to. I mean, look at all the excitement with each new piece of metal for the T-Rex 500. I've even been a "victim" of this myself. Once you build and fly the Logo, I think it's apparent that the plastic quality is higher, and that the shiny metal isn't always the best, especially when trying to make a light heli.
I mean, my Logo 500 AUW is over 1lb. less than my T-Rex 600. Admittedly, it's about 4cm shorter tail and rotors, but that's it - on the same 6S 5000mAh packs... That's a HUGE difference in how it flies.
Finally, there's the parts cost. That's probably the one legit gripe I've seen.
Ultimately, I think it's a chicken-and-egg problem. Until you fly it, you probably won't realize how good it is. And you're not likely to fly it until you get one yourself...
These videos, and your experience flying it, Bob, will have a crucial impact. I hope you like it ;)

See zip file with spreadsheet. Maybe i am off somewhere.
I have no doubt the Mikado is a extremely great bird to fly. My flying abilities would not even come close to unlocking the potential. I don;t mind spending a few extra dollars if the quality and flying characteristics are there but lots of dollars compared to my flying skill is a different story. I may just have to meet up with a local flyer (Hint Hint Tick) to see it in person.

You are about $100 high on the Logo 500 3d kit vs street price and counted two motors.
The Logo is twice as big as the Trex500 and does not need ANY upgrades.
Search my posts in the Logo forum for more info. I'll simply say here that I'm VERY satisfied with the Logo and even happier to not be chasing any issues and just flying!

Bob count me in as following this thread although I have not posted yet. Just waiting for tax returns to arrive and i'm all over one. Been wanting one since summer. I think cost vs durability of this bird is one of the issues for their to be more of a general interest. For a $$ concious beginner the Trex is probably still the way to go. When you want more power/performance and are not as worried about burrying the thing into the ground on a regular basis is when the Logo comes into it's own.
Curious that no one has asked this, but which motor/servo/gyro/ESC have you decided to go with? I'm still debating on servos and motor for mine.

I'm watching!!
It's true though....the general opinion, especially the opinion of people who are used to Align prices is:
The logo is too expensive and too fragile in a crash to buy as your next heli..
Go for a T-rex 500 or 600, or first learn to fly like a Pro...:arggg:
Well, I'm kinda stubborn (even my wife tells me that ).
The T-rex 500 cannot be compared to a Logo5003D, not that one is better than the other...
They are different in size, different blade size, different power to weight ratio etc.etc., a complete different design IMHO.
If i compare it to a electric T-rex 600, the same story, but it get's more close.
Now when i want to get the same performance out of a T-rex 600, that means same flight time, same punch, way it flies, etc...., i think that's simply impossible because the design of the T-rex 600 and resulting power to weight ratio is also different.
To get it even close i also have to get/spend more than the standard package...
In the end The Logo still is a little more expensive though, but when i look at how it's designed and engineered, how High grade Plastics are used, and how well it performs in all the videos I've seen, without one upgrade needed...
It's kinda hard to set my mind to something else ATM.
Another thing,
I seldom crash, but it happens..
When i crash one of my custom made planks, I cry hard...
When i crashed my MiniT, I cried hard....
What's the difference, that has nothing to do with money IMO??
For me the Logo500 is the Coolest one ATM :smokin:
Please continue for the rest of us Bob, and many will follow.

Hey Bob ....your logo 5003d build video is coming along great!!!! I too have quietly been following each uploaded LOGO 5003d build vid .....streaming into my awaitting file for continuing visual learning. as fast as you put them up . lol I have nothing but enthusiasm while watching each build.
As I mentioned to you at the this years AMA Convention . I planned on getting my LOGO 5003D in Feb.Well !!!!!!This is the week I finnaly get it.... So I'm stoke .
As already said by the previous threads ahead of me...I do believe it is more of a dire straight situation for some people to commit toward paying for the price of the kit and higher price for the parts. Most people don't really want to experience to many of the not so happy learning curve fates on this bird, as there 450 helis.?
IMO it's really quite simple to me why there is a lower involement of attention span on this particular build ....except for those who are taking that plunge.
I believe many noobies and intermediates pilots now are famialar with most of your various heli build vids out there. Generally based on the Main interest of the T REX STYLE engineering. The Intriqant CNC bling parts, mods , and carbon / plastic changes make it a very nice way to learn from.
But with the Mikado LOGO build...........no Shiny CNC parts, .more smaller metal and plastic componets. an a diffrent frame material product. Then people tend to view it as not so eye catching ....So attention goes back to what there better comfortable with.
Well simply put, I just prefer to continue to grow with my second heli .. By paying the cost up front for the long haul and save a little, rather Than spending more money on a few several CNC parts that add up to the amount of another Heli kit. It eventually adds up
equal at the end anyway , Thats my .02 happy flying : )

honeslty the logos are the sexiest helis around. with a nice paint job or a plain white lid, the ugliest part is the flybar but really who needs that?:YeaBaby:

In regards to the "seesaw and flybar" video I need to clarify something to everyone. It may have been my fault on the phone of not conveying the problem with some of the earlier manuals that got out there. In regards to the top Mixers, the error was not showing the short and long side of the mixer backwards, it was the short and long side "depth wise of the mixer where the bolt goes through. Please ensure your mixer is as Bob showed bolted to the grip like this picture.

Sory for perhaps not coming across clear on that point Bob, videos are fantastic, keep up the good work.

I seem to have lost my canopy rubbers for my logo 5003d. Can anyone tell me if the trex 600n or e will work in their place? thanks guys

I recall Mercuriell once mentioning that the ones for the T-Rex 600 actually work better on the Logo, and vice-versa...

Yes they work fine - I actually prefer them as they're softer and less traumatic on the canopy - the Logo canopy hole is a little bigger than the TREX but doesn't present a problem

Don't worry Bob, I think there are many watching and very interested. I am probably going to buy my kit this week and really looking forward....
It just is more expensive then a T-rex 600 or Trex 500, and it is just not as well known as the Align stuff.
But keep on going I am sucking up every video directly and it will be a great building help...
greetings Daniel

Hi Finless, great videos - thanks. I've completed a 5003D build but will redo some of it based on your suggestions. Some things that would really be of interest.......radio/servo/gyro installation and mechanical set-up..........Motor installation and gear meshing...............tracking.
Thanks again.
