I have decided to put a standard closed T/R gear box on my Spectra until the open box is returned from MA, whenever that may be! My question is, is there a difference in the length of the pushrod when switching the gear box? Additionally what else needs to be changed other than flipping the boom around?
Thanks

Normally the pushrod length required for the open tail box is approx 10 mm longer than the length for the standard closed box.
You may be able to just screw your ball links inward 5 mm on each end and use the same rod.
The problem was when going from the closed box to the open box, that required extending the links 5 mm on each end . That would probably not leave enough threads on each end to safely secure the ball links.
I am not sure if flipping the boom around will work on the Spectra G to install the closed box. If there is a notch in the boom on the end that is clamped into the mechanics. Then flipping it around will work. If no notch is in the boom, then it will have to be notched for the standard closed box to work.
