I have 2 observer helicopters. I had purchased 2 of them for a redundant system but after flying them for a couple of years I and getting to know there characteristics it’s pretty well meaningless to have a 2nd helicopter around for redundancy. If you maintain these choppers correctly and only if you will have an unbelievable reliable platform that is a real show stopper too by the way (These things don’t look like toy helicopters). My plan is to sell the one that I have been using for backup. It has less then 10 hours on it and it is pretty much ready to fly. The only problem I could anticipate you having is tuning the engine as I am sure that you’re at a different altitude temperature humidity etc. If you are good at tuning and have some experience you won’t have any problems.
These choppers were built by me under the supervision of the Bergen factory as I built them right at their shop in Michigan. When I built them I spared no expense and went to the best equipment recommended by Larry Bergen. They include the following:
G26 engine
Maverick pro 720 blades.
JR 550T gyro with matching 8700G servo
JR 4131 servos
JR 945 dual conversion receiver
Copilot flight level system
Dual redundant receiver batteries with meter for monitoring power
JR R700 receivers for pan and tilt with separate 5 cell batteries
Base loaded antennas for both receivers.
Wireless video system downlink.
All the electronic equipment is in a safe box for crash resistance.
JR 8103 radio
These helicopters with the many hours I have spent on them getting them so that all the equipment is neatly and cleanly installed has taken my many countless hours of testing and installing for the best and simplest operation possible. They are probably the best looking observers you will see anywhere too. I had taken the entire pan and tilt system apart on both machines and painted them yellow so that immediate orientation while flying is obvious. I have also put orange cloth flags on the tails for visual as well.
I think I have given you all the information you need.
Price 3800 usd
Thanks
David
