WILL THIS WORK???

Has anyone tried to hook up a downlinked picture to a laptop with a dvd burner in order to record from the downlink camera . If this would work you could edit your pics, pick out certian frames / ect.
The reason why I'm asking is because this is what I would like to try to do.
I'm looking at purchasing a decent downlink camera and decent downlink transmitter( one with 1 to 5 mile range) (already know about the licencing req)
Not to mention the weight factor I think it would be great to be able to do both stills and movies from the same camera and flight.
Any replies would be grea

Steve you can do this, but the video quality through a downlink is not that great compared to the quality that you can get on a digital camcorder. Downlinks use the standard analog video signal which is pretty low resolution. If that is good enough for your needs, by all means go for it, but take the time to compare the two side by side.

I agree with Jon 100%. At least speaking for my 2.4G downlink....
