t20,
You are right, at this moment, the SK360 software only cater either max + pitch or max - pitch setting in order to make the swash plate level.
You have to choose which side you want. I have chosen the max -ve pitch.
I hope Skookum can modify the software to cater +/- servo travel for max + - pitch.
By the way, my first SK360 flybarless project is TREX 450 SE which is now set and done and the second project is coming .... TREX 600N.
Cheers ....

The recent discussion of getting +/- endpoints even triggered a thought. It might not matter much if that is perfect.
The SK360 does not have any effect on pitch so, it is pretty important to get the blade angle even at the top and bottom on the pitch channel. Otherwise, you may get a slightly different climb rate inverted versus normal. However, for most pilots, different speed of climb would rarely be noticed. I.e., with good collective management, you should not be using full pitch very often.
As to aileron (roll) and elevator (flip). Getting those perfect is of very little importance. Think about it, the SK360 is constantly adjusting those channels based on feedback from the gyros. When you move your alieron and elevator sticks, you are telling the SK360 how fast you want it it roll or flip in degrees per second. It is figuring out how many degrees to change the blade angle based on readings from the gyros.
If your elevator gives you 10 degrees on up stick and 10.5 on down stick, the heli is likely to flip forward and backward at the same rate anyway. That is, unless you have asked the SK360 to flip at a rate per second so great that it needs more than 10 degrees from the blades.
Am I saying your mechanical setup can be sloppy. No, but, you probably don't need to obsess over it either.

Having read all 51 pages now, there is still one question open for me.
Have the recent firmware upgrades helped in regards to the SK360 giving funny control inputs while still on the ground?
Has anybody now tested this system while lifting off on a slopy ground?
How is that LCD screen coming along?
I have a SK360 sitting here in the box and am just waiting for the X-Treme50 Flybarless head to hit our shores.

Alfred I have a fbless Mini-Titan Scale Super Cobra with the latest firmware SK 360 and it has no problems during take off even from a steep side of an embankment. Get one you'll love it. My second SK 360 is installed in a fbless MSH Protos and will take its test flights this weekend. :)

The designer seems to be concentrated in the developement of new features of head gyros maybe later a tail one.
