Hi, I just thought I'd let people know that espritmodel.com are having a sale of Hurry 550 parts, 40% off!
I finally bought the fiberglass canopy and cnc main blade grips I was thinking about getting for about the last two months.
Eric.

Hmm, readyheli also has some special deals? Hope there is no problem with Guai? 40% is quite a whack and the readyheli deal is phenomenal as well - no such thing as a free lunch!

I am pretty sure Gaui is OK - they have been making helis for a long time.

I am thinking (guessing) that the Trex500 has something to do with it. I bet Gaui is discounting some to gain some market share right now.

I always thought their basic kit parts cost was great - but their upgrade CNC, carbon, etc. parts were over priced. Maybe they are coming back to reality now in the pricing of them? (the key word being "maybe")

readyheli are just running an overstock sale, they did the same thing a while back with the CF frame, and also the CF framed kit, where as it looks like esprit are dropping the gaui line altogether, according to their homepage at least " 01/20/08 Close Out 40% OFF all Gaui Helicopter Parts!!! (http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=756)"

Guys, ReadyHeli.com and GAUI are here to stay...if other vendors elect to exit the brand, they do so on their own behalf...there will be more exciting GAUI helis available this year, and you can rest assured you can count on us for sales, service, and support for the entire GAUI lineup in 2008. We do offer sales and deals from time to time, and are quite pleased with the new GAUI crash pack:

Thanks for looking.

I love my Huri 550 and other than carbon blades, the price of parts are almost the same as my T-Rex. I was looking at a T-Rex 500 but after checking out Jason's, I opted for the Huri. The T-Rex 500 wasn't quite big enough for a second heli.

Yah... that makes more sense Phil. I actually didn't click over onto Esprit to look at what was going on.

I recently stocked up on spares from John & Jen, so am set for awhile - but maybe I will get an extra fiberglass canopy while the gettings good.

John (Jen?) - thanks for the feedback. That Crash Pack is a Hell of a deal!! Looking forward to Gaui's new heli's... I truly love flying the XES!!

that's great news john

imho it's esprit's loss to drop gaui, as unlike some other heli companies they don't try and gouge their customers for plastic parts, and with you guys supporting them they can only go from strength to strength!

that crash pack is sweet. one question, though. can the crash kit be modified at all, or is it a package put together by gaui? i guess what i'm asking is if the woodies can be replaced with rcp carbons, at a higher price of course.

we can pretty much accommodate any special request, and will put together a rcp carbon combo (when we get them back in)

Thanks guys, that makes me feels a lot better I really like the size of my Hurri, in fact it might be worth going all CNC now!

Hi guys, regarding my original post that started this thread, I could not sleep that night, so decided to look at all my bookmarked sites on the net just for something to do. I found the 40% off offer and couldn't resist getting a few bits that I had been holding out on (cnc main grips and fiberglass canopy mainly). It was a pity that I had already bought the usual crash parts previously, but still a happy camper! Naturally I had to share this info with the site that has been a great help to me, Helifreak! The Hurricane is a great piece of kit, cheap, light and flies great, all the best,
Eric.

That's where that fiberglass canopy went ;)

I had started an order last night... but decided to hold off on checking out until I took inventory on my spares... and when I added to the order this morning... a pop up appeared letting me know the canopy was out of stock (did you get a foam blade holder also ;) )

No worries... just found one NIP in the RR classifieds.

Thanks again for the heads up on the sale!

Hi, yes the fiberglass canopy I had to have, sorry about that! The blade holder I had already so it wasn't me that bought it.
I am glad you found the link usefull though, its nice to give something back,
Eric.

I'm glad you got it Eric! I was just kidding with you.

I think the Gaui factory fiberglass canopy is still the nicest looking canopy for the Hurricane... even over the ones HeliDirect sells.

Have one now on the XES. You will probaly like it allot when you see it and get it on your heli.

anyone know why esprit is bailing out??

Helibelly

Hi, I have no idea why Esprite would be bailing out considering its a popular heli. I did receive my order today though, and I must say that the fiberglass canopy is absolutley yum! I asked them to pack it carefully too, and it came in a box about a foot and a half by a foot, and filled with shredded paper, so it surrived its journey to Ireland perfectly! I'm very pleased indeed.
Eric.
