opinions please. This will be my first nitro heli. Had alot of planes in past so not averse to tuning a nitro engine. Anywho, what are the opinions of the TREX 600 for a first nitro chopper. I'm coming from very limited heli experience with Blade 400's and just learning basic flight stuff now. No 3d yet!

I would say that a Trex would be a better option. Parts costs will be cheaper. The 60 will need to be upgraded to a 90 later to really get a good 3D machine which will increase prices and fuel consumption. I would go with the Trex. Cheaper and you have a heli that can go from mild to wild without too much issue.

Do you have everything you need for the 60 already?

well my order is on hold for my Gyro and servos. I ordered the Raptor 60V2 b/c my friend has the same chopper and said it would be easy to fly and learn more on, plus he could help with fixes etc... He would let me use the 60 OS in his, as he wanted the 70 for more power. So confused. The larger size I think would be nice, but then again, I like the Align design too.

The 60 should be slightly more stable due to the fact that it is slightly larger and heavier. Ultimately its up to you. I would prefer to go with a 50 over a 60 even though the 60 can be upgraded to a 90 later.

The Raptor 60 is under powered (hence the need for the Raptor 90….same air frame… ) and parts are expensive !...and you will need parts ! (just look up the price on the fly-bar for the 2 birds, and not to mention main blades) in learning to fly, your of your best friends is power….and the Trex 600 with a good engine, like a O.S., or a Y.S. you have fantastic power and one great flying bird……………in short….get the TRex 600N :smokin:

The 600N is a great heli your going to be happy ,, I to count on Brian to help with my helis and setups ,,, you know Brian dose know his stuff  he got me the S9451s so he must have set you up with the s5452s that replaced the s9451s ,, could be s9252 also

The T-Rex 600N was given the #1 Nirto of the year in RC Heli Mag ,,, that
has to say something when its the best of all Nitros for 2007

Thanks guys, I'm building my own Trex 600N right now, I'm not hurrying as it's pretty cold here and it'll be a while until we thaw out. I'm looking forward to it.

any questions, any time, call me up.
