Hi..

Just returning to flying heli's after a bit of a break and some clever clogs has developed a head speed governor. so, I'm going to add this to my intrepid 60, which I have recently rebuilt and love to fly.

I like to fly aerobatics and some mild 3D. anyone got any hints? especially with regards as to what head speeds to run and any other gotcha's. the device is a CSM revloc 10

Thanks

A...

bpgoa...welcome back into the hobby! with the 60...I would try to get around 1650 for lazy aerobatics and 1750 or so when doing 3D...I also would limit the collective to maybe +/- 9 degrees to not overload the engine...the 60 still flies great...just takes a little bit more collective management to keep it from bogging...also...stick to no more that 690mm blades...680's would be even better if you can find them these days!

As you probably already know...down the road if you want to put a 90 into the bird all you really need to do is change the pinion gear...and change over to the 33" boom so you can run 700/710mm blades...

BTW...which 60 do you have? the traditional stacked frames or the Intrepid 60 3D?

Hi Greg,

Thanks for the hints... I have no idea if it's the 3d model. If it helps it was one of the first machines in the UK, g10 stacked frames and all metal with an Ali tailbox. plus every upgrade that was available at the time.

I bought it via a friend Lee Elborn who was getting some factory support at the time.

I believe all the parts are still current?

Thanks

Adrian

If it is the stacked frames, then yes it is VERY similar to what we offer today.

For a 90, change the gearing and boom, and also would suggest changing the tail gearbox to the latest version, which can be seen here, http://69.65.123.251/~bergenrc/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=84

Our forum is up and running, browse around, http://69.65.123.251/~bergenrc/phpBB2/index.php More hints and tips added weekly (or so) :)

On our homepage, type in %%% into the search function for ALL of the parts we offer.

If you know the part number, type that in, or try the nearest description such as "driven tail".
