...... she went down hard. First time. She was comming low, nose in, I got crossed up. Parts flew like rice at a wedding. (or clothes at the honeymoon, or profanity at a the ensuing divorce hearing .... I digress) Oh, it was ugly!
So far, looks like about $400 not to mention the many hours of intense concentration.
Just thought I'd share.

I feel for you..:( I almost joined you today with the rex 500. third flight total on the heli and forgot to put the antenna out, middle of a roll no motor and major cutting out. I don't know how I saved it but all is well.

The main shaft was ripped in half. So, the head was laying about fifteen feet away - swash, fly bar, linkages - all boogered up. Cracked the frame, destroyed one of my 8717's, canopy, blades, tail boom and myriad of other small parts. My best updated estimate is about $500. Thankfully my 10S Evo25 made it through unscathed. Surprisingly, both of my Radix paddles survived without the tiniest scratch. Go figure!
I was really quite surprised by the amount of damage. I won't be bustin any new moves on the Logo without first being real comfortable on the Trexies. They don't perform anywhere near as well but, they are certainly much more durable!

That was my impression but I can tell you having smacked in the L600 hard twice (and the L500 less hard twice) in the last month (learning inverted) that generally they are surprisingly durable. I snapped my L600 mast in half too but apart from that, a new flybar and plastic balls and tube spacers it was OK !
What with the TT, TT bevel gears I don't actually think is that much difference in $$ repairing the Rex and the Logo !

That's funny! I was thinking about you when I chose the phrase "boogered up" (from your build video) to describe some damage. In fact, I nearly quoted you. (It's not exactly native vernacular here in Seattle, Washington) By the way, thank you for your fine work on the build videos!
I'm probably not going to agree with you completely about the cost of repair - T600 canopy $40 - L600 3d canopy $95, T600 flybar 2 for $3.99 - L600 flybar, ball, sleeve $22.50 for example. I hope you're right though. We'll see what happens next time.
Thaks again!

Well my canopies usually survive or are repairable to fly another day - don't forget torque tube - bevel gears - granted some of the spares are more expensive but you can buy individual components rather than the whole box and dice - just my experience having smacked L600 x2 L500 x2 and T600 x 2 in the past 6 weeks :( - glad you enjoyed the videos - they're fun to do and good to cross the cultural boundaries in terms of vernacular !
