I was wondering what you all use for a battery in your CX2's? I have been using Max Power and I was just wondering if there is something better out there. Secondly, how crash resistant are the carbon fiber tail booms?

TIA!!!

I use thunder power batteries, they dont fit, I have them taped to the mount. much improvement. Flightpower makes a LiPo that is a perfect fit for the CX2. Either will provide 2 times the performance over a stock 8C pack.

I should have bought higher C rating battery but I go commonsenserc.com battery.
8c batt is 11.99 and 10c was like 13.99. I go 8C one since local only had in stock. I install extreme180 motor and I'm sure I would benefits better with higher C rating batt but for new heli guy, I'm happy with the battery performance from common sense rc stuff.

I just read on RC magazine and figure try it out.

The carbon boom is very crash resistant, The boom is a push fit, so pops out of the holder in a crash, thus stopping it from breaking :noteworthy

still searching for best battery to use in my cx2.....as far as the carbon fiber boom after two very high altitude crashes (flown outside bad idea) they seem to be very durable....except for the little propeller on the side of the tail boom mine broke but super glued it....

I like flight power battery. they do have small one but they are longer than stock one.

for the most saving.. commoneserc.com battery for 12bucks is awesome over paying e-filte battery.:noteworthy

I'll vote for flight power too. Almost too skinny and yes long but does not mess up CG.
