Does anyone know what would be the advantage of doing the swash level at low,mid and full stick via the swash mix in the model menu or using the swash/swash detail at the linkage menu. I know futaba sometimes have same functions at different location but in this case which is better.

Those menus are for different purposes in the 14MZ.
The swash / swash detail is for bench setup. This is designed to make everything operate true.
The swash mix is for fixing aerodynamic issues in flight. This mix is used at the field for fixing tracking or mix issue that you see in the air.
