DX7 Question

I am considering buying a DX7, what version do i need? What is the difference between mode 1 and mode 2? just dont want to buy the wrong one!

My understanding is that the difference beween AIR and HELIi is the ratchet on the throttle of AIR

This was the case with my new JR X2610 ( this is the 35Mhz version ) Manual just said to remove the ratchet for HELI.
Basically the difference is for those who are scared to open the back of the TX to remove the ratchet.

( Awaiting delivery of my DX7 - should be Monday or Tuesday) no more pegs!!!! )

the location of the three position switch is in a different location, as well. On the heli version, it's on the left shoulder. On the air version it's on the face.

Thanks for clearing that up. At least I made sure I ordered a HELI

Also the switch labels are a bit different.

And the heli version defaults to ehli rather than airplane for setup.

I was flying a JR6102 Plane radio and just got the DX7 heli radio. It is SWEET! :Bang
