I am baffled. Does anyone have the setup for the Dx6i for 3.5? i have set the Tx to Heli. tried CCPM vs not. And can't get any power. Seems like the controls are working fine but no rotor speed.

So how do you set the Tx up and then the Channel Mapping in G3.5?

I search this forum but could not find it. Surely this must have been resolved previously.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If it's the same as the DX 7 you need to create a new model in the menu. It has to be an airplane model. Switch to that model then turn you transmittler OFF. Plug it in and under controller choose your radio. Now Calibrate it through Real Flight.

try it, then you may need to reverse stuff in channel mapping.

I followed your suggestion. also looked at another thread to get it all set up including the channel mapping. All worked but no spin-up on the head. Just could not figure it out.

I am sort of in the same boat. I tried a bunch of stuff too. A few attempts allowed me to fly with no throttle control but with full power all the time. And some attempts allowed me to fly planes just fine but no helis. Ugh. I think it is a Horizon vs Great Planes conspiracy....hehe. I have tried setting up new models in the radio and different mappings in Real Flight I just havent found the right combo yet. I really want to practice grabbing the throttle hold switch on the DX6i with the sim before I start doing too much flying in idle-up with it. One thing I wish Real Flight would do is a nice Funky Chicken Dance so it would remind us to hit throttle hold instead of the big red button. The red button is free, Funky Chickens are not. Noting beats muscle memory.
