Just recived the Gaui fiberglass canopy....man it looks sharp....I know it's just the standard paint job, but it look slick...
My question is....How do you keep it on the heli...?
It came without any rubber grommets..and the holes look bigger than the standard canopy holes....
Am I missing something here? The package was sealed so nothing fell out.
What are you all doing?

my kit came with the grommets uninstalled, just in a bag. without them i think it'd be a chore to get the canopy to stay on. do you have any fuel tubing or something similar lying around? could probably use that. yes, the gaui fiberglass canopy is very sick looking, but it's pretty fragile. mine cracked just putting it on. i mixed up some epoxy and brushed a layer of it inside around all of the edges, and this seemed to stop the cracking from going further. i just ordered the standard canopy from readyheli, so hopefully it's not the milk-jug type material that is a biatch to paint. i'm itching to try out my new airbrush, and make all sorts of copywrite infringements with copied logos . pretty badass, aren't i? i also go around cutting all of the tags off of mattresses and pillows and such, just because it says not to. living on the edge i tell you.

Great looking canopy i have one also.
I dont want to tempt fate just yet so am not flying with it!!
I have just taken the grommets frm my stock canopy (crappy molding around grommets!!) and fitted them to the Fibreglass canopy and they fit a treat.
Not sure why your canopy holes would be any different, try it.

readyheli sells the grommets separate, and the canopy notes don't mention them. i guess they aren't a package, need to be purchased separetly.

Hi, I just recieved my fiberglass canopy today, and yeah, it looks fabulous, and it came with grommets!
It seems strange that some come with them and some without?

i just got my white plastic canopy from ready, and although it came split down the seam, it had grommets installed. a little ca glue fixed it.
