Been running the K&B .30 size blades (84mm) on my L500 and they have been quite visible and crisp but I notice some chattering in higher torque maneuvers sometimes. Since I just feel like trying out new things, I picked up a set of 92mm Rotortech blades from EspritModel (they match my mains ). Really wanted to try the Radix but they were out of stock at the time.

Anyhow, they look nice but were slightly off balance and a small sliver of Scotch tape was enough to bring it back. For now I'll run without the tape since I want to see if there is a noticeable difference (I'm guessing not). Also, the weight for each blade was 4.5319g and 4.5901g (have a fine scale at work). The thickness of the Rotortechs is 3.25mm and the K&B are 2.66mm. Width is 26.25mm for Rotortechs and 26.80mm for the K&B. Originally, I thought the K&B would be much wider.

The weather is supposed to be bad for a few more days so there won't be a flight report for a while. In the meantime, here are some pictures to compare with the K&B blades.

Yea I tried the K&B as well, none of my gyros cared for them much. Other then the 450 sized K&Bs I have not found them to be my preference. So far the 92mm radix or 95V's have been good. MAH makes a 90mm tr blade as well which is very nice.

I haven't really had any problems with the K&B for normal flying so I can't really complain but just needed another comparison point.

Tonight while hovering in the driveway I noticed that the tail was extremely smooth with 0 vibration on the Rotortechs. It seems the slight imbalance is not really an issue. Heck, an extra thread on the tail rotor bolt would cause more imbalance.

I'm guessing that the gains on the gyro will be affected with new tail blades so I setup a mix on AUX2 to change the gain about 12% with flip of a switch. Once the weather is better I'll try it and report back.

It is the flex that is doing it on the K&Bs, that is the difference. I just found the K&Bs were far to flexible imho of course.

I use also the K&B on my L500 vbar and i found that they are better than the stock one. But i have ordered also the BBT Maniac blades with 95mm carbon tail blades, so will see the improvement.

I've run the K&B 89mm blades on 600 and 500 and they do vibrate during abrupt piro stops - on the T600 they caused a wag.

I've put 2 flights on my logo 500 with the K&B tail blades. They seemed real crisp. I've yet to try much tail first flight though on my logo 500 so can't really comment on the full 3d capability of em.

I just removed the rotortech 105's and put on the rotortech 95's. They did not need any balancing while the 105's were out of balance (out of the package). Overall the 95's fly better on my Logo600 vbar for my style of flying.
