Ordered Phoenix will use with DX7 - Questions

Finally decided that even though I have RealFlight 3.5 I need Phoenix. I want to use it with my DX7 and everyone I have spoken to says after you get used to it you will love it more.

1. Is there a way to take my radio out of transmit mode?
2. Will this wear out my radio I fly the sim a lot?
3. I fly the Trex 450 is there any tweaking I need to do to get it like my rex?

1) You plug the Phoenix supplied cable into the trainer port on the DX7. This will turn the radio on WITHOUT activating the transmitter. The battery will last MUCH longer.

2) Using the radio will wear it out. However, if you read this (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=52297) thread, you will find a way to reduce the wear on the gimbals.

3) Everyone's heli is slightly different. Phoenix provides many adjustments to tweak your virtual heli. You should be able to get it to feel close to your actual 450.
