Today my buddy and I test flew his V-stabi 600 nitro..It was interesting to say the least in 20-35mph gusting wind. We used the recommended basic setups etc

Whilst In flight it was reasonable but it proved to be a bit of a handfull with the ground handling..both during liftoff but especially landing in the heavy wind.

Also our Helipad is also far from level making things worse as we were having to hold a small amount of Cyclic input at spoolup to prevent a tip over due to the wind.

During landing... which took several attempts each time, the elevator in particuliar seemed to get into a slow fore/aft osciliation (nose into wind) making it very difficult to get back on the deck safely. It also seemed to get a little pitch sensitive whist doing this making it difficult to get down in one piece.

During ground checks if we go from full Forward to Full Aft elevator there is small but definite bounce the opposite direction close to mid stick? Initially I though this may have been just the elevator servo but both the pitch/Ail servos match this command.? this is not apparant whilst using Ail only.

thanks in advance Brian

Hello Brian,

can you attach your config file as an .xml here for diagnostics and further information?

If you can't ... it is possible at the "Home" Forum www.vstabi.de.

I want to have a look at your parameters and help you to improve the behavioiur of the heli.
