First let me say, I don't think this is a problem of my radio....I'm sure it is due to the loose nut behind the sticks.

Had my heli set up with a JR 6102 6ch. radio, hovered great (I'm just learning) Just got my DX7 installed and I'm having problems. First I was drifting left BAD prior to lift-off, found that the swash was not very level so I worked that out with subtrims and end travel (keep in mind that I didn't change the servo placement from when it was flying good with the other radio). When I turn the heli on and the gyro zeros out the tail blades are at 0 pitch or close. Once I spool up the leading edge goes to the right, like the gyro is trying to compensate, (it stays to the right when the heli is back at rest) and it responds really slow to stick input and the heli spins nose left. Since I only changed the radio I'm thinking it is a setting that I have not figured out yet. Any ideas?

Slow response and nose left makes me think loose tsil drive.

Grab the head and tail hub adn try toturn against each otehr. If there is movement, figure where it is and fix it.

Ok, Checked the tail assembly, the belt will slip with some pressure. I will tighten that (it takes quite a bit to slip but I think it is a tad loose). BUT, the slow response I refered to is in the tail blades with the heli at rest.

Basically after I spin up then back down the response of the tail servo is cut in half compared to preflight test, and when I center the left stick the leading edge of the tail blades drift left (after spin down also)

I'm using a Eflight gyro that worked great with my other radio, could that have something to do with it?

Eflite gyro is basically the Telebee one.

Here: http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=41692

Post #1 (first or last depending on how you forums settings are) is a list of setup videos. Watch the one on the Telebee setup, It is VERY different from most other gyros.

Terry,

Thanks for the help, as always. I just got the vid, had a friend at work burn it for me as I have dial up  When I started messing with the heli things were just not right and I couldn't figure out why. After about a half hour I found a hair line crack in the arm going to my tail rotor from the boom.......mystery solved. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why it was fine with one radio and not the other. Now I just have to order the part, that part must have come defective as I just changed it out.
