Is there an easy way of pulling the 30V2 main tank out or do i need to split the Main frames to get it out. i want to change the Pick up line from the stock TT line to something better to avoid a issue later.

TIA

Well on my raptors i can just take off the landing gear and take out a few bottom screws on the main frame and it should open up wide enough to slide the tank out..Someone else may have a better way but this works well for me.

That works, TY.
One more question on this subject. is it smart to Zip-tie the clunk to the new fuel tube or will the fuel eat the plastic.
Again Thanks

No need to zip tie the clunk. It is a good idea to replace the stock fuel line with something better. The stock Raptor fuel line won't last more than a few months. I use Hayes 249 available at your LHS or on line. Hayes 249 is extruded neoprene and very flexible. You hobby store may try to sell you Dubro neoprene but it isn't nearly as flexible as the Hayes.

i found some Hayes at the LHS. just did not know if i need to secure it inside. I have been reading this site for sometime and have got some great ideas. Thanks....

If you are using 30% nitro Hayes 249 will swell a little. I haven't found this to be necessary, but some of my friends cut a 4mm length of the fuel line and stretch it over the clunk line then squeeze the clunk into the doubled line. This holds really well. They also do this at the other end.

The Hayes line works well, but it can stretch in length and also swell and let go.

I found the clunk in my Knight 50 laying in the bottom of the tank one day before flying. Always check it.

I used to use zip ties, but now use a very short length of large fuel tubing over the Hayes over the barbs on the nipples of both the clunk and the main tank fitting.

I also cut it about 5/16 shorter than I normally would, as it does stretch.

Cheap insurance.
