Well one of my A123 packs had a cell go bad. It seems a cell has shorted. I've been thinking of moving to a lipo setup just to see if I can tell a difference. I figure with an 8s pack I can more or less drop it in without pinion changes etc. I've been thinking 2 x 4s FP packs. Either the 3300 or 3700. Well both fit? Any other configurations I should consider? Thanks for the help!

I ran 8S1P 3700mah brick packs "FlightPower" and they fit fine, close to the pinion but they fit.

I'm almost tempted to try two of these out these out:

MaxAmps Lipo 4000HV 4S 14.8V Pack

# 4000mah Capacity
# 14.8 Volts
# 44mm X 137mm X 26mm
# 20C Constant(80 amps)
# 30C Sustained(120 amps)
# 50C Burst(200 amps)
# 365 grams
Price: $154.99

Slightly lighter and cheaper with more capacity than the FP pack.. I have a buddy who has a maxamp pack in his T-Rex 500 and really likes it.

But then again, I could get three more A123 packs for that prices and still have a nice flying heli. Decisions..

The key is to pay attention to the size of them, make sure they are going to fit before "adding to cart" .
Ask around as my opinion would be abit biased of course but honestly I have not seen or had to much success with MaxAmp packs, they are a short life pack when put to the test of todays systems.

I heard Esprit is placing a custom order for FP 8S 5350 long packs. Call Chandler.
