What is the maximum size blades that can be used on a mostly stock 50v2???
I'd like to run Rotortech 610mm blades, unless they are too long and hit the tail rotor....l
Also, what is the correct size tail rotor blades for this bird? I'm thinking of going to either carbons or K&B's.
Thank you!

92 carbons
The v2 boom is too short for 620s, I'm not sure I'd run 610s w/o extending the boom with the titan boom and belt.

Using the stock size 85mm tail bladed 610mm mains will fit. However, be warned that if your boom slips in a little you may fray the ends of your blades. Of course if you boom slips in frayed blades may not be your biggest problem. For the price of a Titan tail boom, longer, push rod and belt you will be safe.

I'm now using a set of mavrik wide core 600mm. They are actualy slightly shorter than the TT 600 but will bog the engine more (OS hyper 50). Keep in mind the 610s will bog the engine even more.

Thank you for the infos.
And about the engine bogging down.... The 50 Hyper likes to run at 17000 rpm, that's right into its power band. With the 8.5:1 gear ratio, that means about 2000 rpm headspeed. So if your HS is lower than 2000, your below the engine power band. If you run like 2050-2100, then when you do high power manoeuvers the hs will drop and when it drops to 2000rpm then the engine will be into its power band and will bog less than if you were running a lower hs.
A metal hub is required for those high headspeed....

Mavrikk blades load up in general when you start thumping on them, try sabs, nhps, or Radix, I think you will see quite a difference. The rotortechs are good blades and I doubt you'd bog the head just because of the increased disk like you would with mavrikk blades.

OK I finally decided to upgrade to a Titan boom and belt. Is 92mm still the optimal tail blade size with this tailboom?
I'm using NHP Razor 2 600mm blades, but might be upgrading to Rotorthech 610 or TT 620 in the future ( still with stock V2 gearing though).
Thank you!
