f. mode refers to "flight mode" which is the position of your idle-up switch, normal and stunt mode (idle-up). Although I haven't looked at it in a while, I believe "auto f.mode" is to set individual gains for each flight mode instead of one general gain setting that covers all flight modes. It also does away with using another switch to change between two gain settings and instead ties them to what flight mode you are in.
I'm sure someone else will chime in with better information, but that is my understanding of that screen.

Strepto is right the gain can be set different for each Flight Mode.

The NORM=0 STUNT=0 is where you set which gain setting you want to use. The gain itself is set where the 0:50% 1:50% is. So if NORM=0 then when the Flight mode switch is in NORM it uses the 0:50% setting. If you change the NORM=0 to NORM=1 then it uses the 1:50%.

Also the gain settings in AUTO F. MODE go from 0% to 100% the default 50% is 0 gain on most gyros, so if you want 80% gain you have to set the gain % to10% or 90% one way will be rate mode the other will be heading hold depending on which way the servo reversing is on AUX 2.

Um ok guys, i have rudder displayed..i use the rudder switch for hh or rate modes..

What does the settinjg 'AUTO' do (this mode shows F.MODEs) ???

can i fly that or just leave it in "rudder D/R" mode ??

I understand that the modes are selectable but dont know why they only have 0 or 1...
whats the POINT since they are all the same 0 or 1 settings ?????

Eg: in auto mode=norm:0 can that be adjusted to a different number ? the only choice is 0 or 1 ...

What is AUTO mode anyway for ?

still somewhat lost..

Auto mode automaticly switchs the gain of the gyro when switching between flight modes so you do not have to remember to switch them.

In auto mode=norrm:0 you can only choose 0 or 1. The 0 and 1 choose which gain setting that is used lower on the page where the 0:50% and 1:50% are. You can change the 0:50% and 1:50% to what ever gain percent that you want from 0% to 100%.
