Hey guys. So I have my Dx7 set up with my Trex450 Se V2 and I am thinking of putting the expo setting on. Do I have to turn it on for all my throttle, and pitch curves including HOLD? What would I have to change in order to do this? I heard it is recommended for 3D which I have been experimenting with. Can any one give me some advice and help me out?
Thanks

There's 3 places you will see exp or expo.
1. On the primary flight controls and yes it helps tame things down a bit at center stick around +20 percent on cyclics and rudder works wonders.
2. EXP in the pitch and throttle curve menu. This gives you a smoother curve between points, enable it and look at your curve, for instance it will give you more of a U curve instead of a sharp V curve for your throttle and pitch, try it and see if you like it, it wont explode.
3. In the swash plate menu, it should be enabled here (dont know why its not the default. It helps keep the swash level throughout its motion and reduce interaction. It also takes away from your total throw so you will have to reset your swash percentages if you turn it on after the fact.

I am pretty sure he's talking about the expo setting in the swash menu.
If you set it to ACT, you will need to change your swash mix percentages because the total travel will be reduced.
Basically you want to re-measure your collective and cyclic pitch after turning the EXP on, and increase your swash percentages(AIL, ELE and PIT) to get back to the desired degrees.

Do I have to set all the throttle and pitch curves as "EXP ON" as well as the swash menu to ACT and then set the pitch to 0 at half stick? Thats what you are basically saying by this?

No.
Re-read Barracuda Hockey's post. The 3 possible ways to set expo do not really affect each other.
You don't have to turn the expo on on each individual channel if you enable it in the swash menu. The expo on each individual channel controls the response around center stick. The expo in the swash menu controls all 3 servos together and isn't used to change the control feel around center stick.
But enabling the EXP in the swash menu will reduce the total throws of the servos so you'll have to go re-adjust. It likely will not change your zero pitch setting but will reduce your cyclic and collective travel at their extremes.

I have heard that if you have any subtrim dialed in, it will change you center position, so you will have to go through the setup again.
Yup, I've tested it on my Trex450 and I have to re-do head setup again not just increase pitch mix.
Btw, I did not find it pretty much useful and I'm using sub-trims so next crash I'm going to turn it off.
