New Spectra - Questions

Hi!
Received my Spectra kit with Tempest 3D head and stock 231 yesterday.Have some questions :

1 The engine came with the 677 carb and as i understand that is no good for heli use.Anyone know a good online shop for buying a 643?
I've found a 603 carb at davesmotors,will that be a good choice?

2. The Tempest 3D rotor head has a lot of setup choices,as i'm NOT a 3D flyer, i intend to use it for sports/FAI type of flying.What settings would be best to start of with?

3. Anyone know when the new tailshaft and gears will be available?
Mine has the black gears. :(

4. Any other things i should be aware of during the building process?

Follow the instructions, there are no quirks to worry about. The 603 will work OK. I send you the head setup later, mine is set for mild 3D, sport flying. For breaking in and gentle flying you could use the shaft and gears the new ones should be available this coming week, email MinAir they will take care of you. Contact me if you have any questions. i have sean the 643 carbs on ebay sell new for about 20 to 30 dallars...

Set the Tempest 3D head up according to the instructions. That should give you a setup that is capable of smooth hovering and also perform aerobatics with ease.
