My question is, what kind of performance in power and flight times do you loose when using a conventional flybar vs the Vbar system? I was really hopping someone might have used an Eagle Tree and made of graph of it. Really hopping to see numbers in amps and minutes

Here is the setup I am thinking about.

Logo5003d
Zpower Z30A 1110kv
Castle 80
Rotor Tech 550?
Radix tail 92mm
FP 4900
Futaba 9252 servos
Solid G/9256

I have seen some really stellar performances using the Vbar system and want to know if I can expect something close to the same performance with a Flybar.

Thanks in advance

Here is my ordered setup:

-Logo 500 3D with original flybar
-Plettenberg Orbit 25-08 Heli Expert 1210kV/15T pinion
-Kontronik Jazz 80-6-18
-RotorTech 560
-Radix 92mm
-FP EVO30 6S 4500mAh (the FP4900 will not fit under the pinion)
-JR DS8717
-Spartan DS760/JR DS8900G
-WR 5V/6V 5A BEC

Other things that I have found useful: Counterbearing, K&B 3D Extreme Dampeners.

Thats my recommended setup.

Other good options would be:

FP EVO25 6S 5000mAh/EVOLite 6S 5350mAh...
SAB 550mm...
Z-Power Z50 1150kV, Kontronik motors, Hacker motors...
Solid G/BLS251, GY611/BLS451, JR G770 3D
BLS451...

There are many setups that should work just fine, but my setup mentioned above is what I did find as the best setup a that time.

Hope that helps.

One short comment: I'd go with the FP 5000mAh EVO25 over the 4900. It fits the frames better, plus a bonus 100mAh!

I have a friend who has a 5003D with the Vbar, he is using the TP Extreme 5000V2 battery's. And just for kicks we put one of my FP 4900 in it. I have to admit it was tight but we did fly with it without contacting anything. One thing I did notice is, the TP pack had about 100 rpm more with the same throttle curves, of course it was with a freshly charged pack. The flight performance was better at the end of the flight with the TP pack as well, so I will more than likely graduate to those.

Well, I didn't say it wouldn't fit, just that the 5000 fit better...

As for the TPv2 vs. FP, do you have any cycle info on the packs? That is, were they cycled more times/deeper or anything like that? Just curious - I've not yet tried any of the TPv2.

I do not. We only flew it one time for comparison but did not think about putting the Eagle Tree on it. Hopefully that will come later.
