Just wondering if anyone charges two 450 class 3S batteries in parallel with a Trition 2. Seems like it would work since the T2 is rated at 90 watts max. That puts about 4Ah per battery max which is about 1.5-2 C per battery.

Not exactly sure about the charging algorithm though. Maybe you could to charge through the discharge leads with a v balancer on the balance leads. What I'd be afraid of is what happens when one battery would be charged? Would the charger send twice the current to the remaining battery?

If one pack starts to get more charged, it will take less current than the other, so they will stay at the same charge level.

The Triton 2 is a 7A charger, you won't be able to get 4A per battery if you charge in parallel, at most is 3.5A.

That would still be plenty enough as long as I would be charging 2200 Mah batteries. I though it was 90 watts though. Didn't know they had a limit on current. Thanks for the head up though!

I would not charge 2 batteries in parallel. If one battery is discharged more then the other the battery with the higher voltage will discharge itself at a very high rate into the lower voltage pack. Also a LiPoly will not take less as it gets more charge in it. The charger senses the voltage has reached 12.6 volts on a 3 cell and it starts to cut the current. The only way they could be chaged in parallel is if they were discharged in parallel.
