I went to my LHS, and they don't carry it. Where did you get yours? Any upgrade should I purchase along with the heli? I am just know how to hover and a mild FF. Thanks for your info.

www.readyheli.com (http://www.readyheli.com)
the xes version has the full metal head, plastic tail. if you get the basic kit or the cf pro kit, you'd want to upgrade the elevator arms i think.

My Hurry was donated by a Very Generous frined Jungle Bob!!

He replaced the one donated with a Carbon Pro Kit from Flying Hobby

We had a few problems with missing items but they were very helpful and replaced the missing bits very quickly.

Oh and the crash kit they offer is pretty good in my opinion.

ONly must have upgrade in my opinion is the CNC elevator lever as the stock ones are reportedly a bit week.

Cheers

remember if you change the elevator lever to cnc you need to change the aileron/pitch levers to the cnc versions too, as the plastic and cnc versions have a different geometry so if you mix the two up you will get more interaction in your cyclic ;)

Nope, CNC and plastic aileron/pitch arms ahve the same geometry. With either one you can use offset or straight setups. The Elevator lever only has one set of holes.

That's great. I'm in now. I'll order one on the weekend. Thank you very much.

i'm afraid not, in fact the only reason the cnc aileron and pitch levers have 2 sets of holes isn't so you can use them like the offset plastic ones it was simply so gaui only had to make 1 cnc part that could be used on both sides of the heli, (cause on each side of the heli the holes used are at opposite sides) it's quite simple the cnc ele/ail/pitch levers are to be used together and not mixed with the plastic parts as the geometry is different between the plastic and cnc parts ;)

You are comparing different holes. Compare the top hole on the same end of both witht eh bottom hole on the other end.

So

I am currently using the CNC elevator arm with NO offset with elevator servo horns with NO offset

With

The original plastic Aileron levers WITH offsets and servo horns WITH offsets.

So your telling me this is wrong?

Should I change the Plastic aileron levers so they use the ball holes WITHOUT offset and change the servo horns to ones WITHOUT offset?

or are you telling me i have to use all CNC levers together and not mix plastic aileron with CNC elevator??

I'm a bit confused now

I never really understood why there needed to be offset in the first place especially since the servo horns and the levers have the exact same offsets? doesn't make sense to me as both will move the exact same amount per degree of rotation, its simple geometry. Shouldnt make any difference if they are CNC ally or Plastic as long as the off set on lever is the same as on servo horn.

any feed back would be great

Cheers

jeez talk about being blind! if i line up the holes on the other side of the arm then those holes at the first side i lined up will then be offset, it's very clear to see that the alu and plastic parts are completely different!

ok just to show you clearly here's some pics with the holes at the other side lined up ;)

Its latest carbon version. Has CNS anti-rotation bracket and some other bits in kit.
Full blown review coming up soon.

OK, thanks. There is more difference than I was lead to believe.

I just put all three CNC arms on mine.

So Pinecone

did you set up your cnc levers with or with out offset?

How easy is it to set them up without offset as this would make most sense to me

Ben,

Setting them up without offset is dead easy. Just make sure that your links are equal lengths, find the hole on the servo arm that matches the width of the holes on the CNC arms and you are done. Sit back, have a beer and admire your handy-work.

Thanks Mike but what i was referring to (not very clearly!) was can you set up the plastic levers with no offset?

I presume its as easy as you pointed out, was just wondering there was anything i had to look at with plastic levers and no offset.

Will probably switch them around soon but shes flying so well at the moment i and loath to taker her apart just to change the offset. Will wait until i get the CNC levers i think.

Cheers

I bought mine from RC-Expert. I got a good deal but I had to ask twice for the supposed to be included CF blades. They tried to put me off but I mentioned I would review them in a site such as this and they became very willing to please!!

Ben,

I don't think that you can set up the plastic arms properly without the offset.

Mike

Ok thats interesting

Because on closer inspection of the plastic arms it sure looks like there are a set of holes that would set the linkages Parralell with No offset?

Why cant i use those holes?

Ben
