spun up mine today(new) without the head on, and I have a pretty bad vibe that seems to be coming from the tail. I removed everything, and weighed the blades, grips, and all hardware on my digital, and it is all the same. I spun the main shaft by hand, and looked at the tail shaft for bends, and found none. I tried loosening the belt tension, then tightening it, still no change, I am at a loss!! The sonix motor bell has some runout, but I spun it up while the tail was dissassembled, and the vibe was less. Nothing is bent as far as I can tell.

nope, runs true, the tail drive gear(big one) wobbles just a little. Ive read that if the bottom jesus bolt is to tight, it will cause this, so I just snugged it up ever so lightly w/loctite on it, and it still wobbles some. It's so bad at half throttle, I think my gyro is gonna have probs. Just got it at christmas, kinda bummed that it is doing this. Do you think I got a bum gear?

Just checked the bottom gear run out (up and dowm) and it is about .050" Any chance of getting a new one sent? It does run up and down on the tail belt gear pretty bad. Jeff

No Charley, I'm still in the process of building it. Still waiting for cyclic servos, I have a HS-81 on the tail from one of my planes, Just wanted to see the tail spin while I was waiting:lol: The blades are still in their bag, no mount holes in the canopy yet, I work 5 12 hr days a week, so I just have a few hrs a day on the weekend to play with it. I can send you a pic if you like. Jeff

What material is your tail blade? And you don't have the main blades on?
