castle creations hv 110 problems

Hi all

Has anyone had any problems with the Castle Creations HV 110 speed controller??
I was setting up my Logo 600 today when the speed controller seems to have died.
I was following Bob White's set-up vid and I had changed the speed controller governor high mode and everything was looking good. I started to spool the heli up and just as it got up to speed the speed controller cut out??? After switching both the speed controller and the heli off I tried again but this time the speed controller didn't make a sound when it was powered up??? :confused:

I am using:
Flightpower 3700mah 10s battery pack
Hacker 50-14s motor
Spektrum radio gear

Any help would be grateful.:arggg:

Which battery connectors do you use?

I am using the flight power 4mm gold connectors. I have got them on other models and they seem to work well???

Yeah we use them too.

Just wondered, because we had the same problems at IRCHA last year when we were testing the CC ESCs.
I don't know if they already found out what the problem was. Everyone else used the Deans and everything worked. Maybe it is the fat spark, when you connect the second battery cable to the ESC?

Hey man,

We're running the Kontronik PowerJazz in our Logo600s now for almost 6 months without any problem. Very good ESC but a little heavy. Kontronik is also coming up with the new Jive ESCs in a few months.

Thanks for youre help. :noteworthy I will look in to getting one of them. It looks like it will take more curent then the c.c. hv 110. Is the Kontronik PowerJazz hard to setup???

I had to snicker when I read that.
The castle's seem to be getting even more unreliable lately, perhaps the colder, dryer weather promoting their static tolerance issues ?
Thank god for kontronik, that's all I can say !

I'd venture to guess static popped the CC, the Jazz doesn't seem to be bothered by it and I hear Castle is working on a fix.

Don't forget the hot summer down under! 30-40C/86-104F. Prolly helped kill my CC, grrr.
