I am new at helis. Have a cx2 and picked up a couple of ax cps on creigs list for 200 bucks one has a gyro and speed controll. I picked up a new batt. and checked out the heli with no gyro , replaced main gear. and checked it over. all looks good. But it wont lift off. What could it be? Pitch wrong or bad motor. please help. Thanks

Are you using the stock greenie packs? They have a tough time getting off the ground with all stock motor/4-in-1 etc...unless it is charged to the brim. If the packs have sat for a while, you'll have to cycle them a few times and they should work ok. Best bet of course would be to go 11.1V Lipo (1500mAh rated at over 15C is best)

For batteries, I'd go with either the FullyMax 25C's (excellent quality for the price!) or Loongmax (these are cheap, but they work!). Sureflight carries the FullyMax and Hobbycity carries the Loong max and HXT batts.

The other thing to check is if you are getting a lot of vibes. If it's shaking like a Shakira music video, you'll never get off the ground. Check your blade balance and your flybar lengths. Next, check your blade tracking. These will be your nastiest culprit for any heli trying to get off it's duff.

Let me know if you need further help or PM me and I'll write back pretty quick!
