bob you are right, its jason chow! If you look at ******s video he has about .0002 control over the heli:thumbdown:

The thing I find funny is he is running with so much power and has no idea how to handle it! Broivc what you need now is flight time not insane power. I just hope you dont bring your new born with you when you fly:shock:

I guarantee you that is not Vic hovering inverted in the pics. Because he cant. Cant even hover nose in let alone inverted.

At least this Beam E4 is controllable unlike that POS RC-Tek crap you keep promoting.

Funny how with .0002% control, the heli never even crashed. IDIOT!!!!!

Keep it up Victor.... If you think you can keep harassing us you will soon find out the repercussions.

My Diablo is easier to fly than my Beam. And there is nothing wrong or bad about RC-Tek and their equipment.

my washout base was totally stucked on the pins, have done it with sand paper but cant get smooth , any tips?

Mine were slightly bent in a crash and I used some needle nose pliers to straighten them and the washout base slides up and down just fine.

rc-tek's diablo/SS are nice heli's and now the sjm325 is pretty sweet! I do also like the beam, it's a very nice heli!

Learn control and stick with one heli and try to fly that! The only one being an idiot is you! You have proven you have no skill and no credibility!

why do you even come back? You must like hearing your a moron:smokin:

Hi Bob,

This heli looks darn good. I watched your videos and also kevin & your flights.

I'm in love (with the heli :D). I got a TREX 450 & a 500.

Do you think this heli is "better" than a 450 ?

Not sure I can say better. That's a tuff call.... Some aspects of it for sure are better design like the swash plate and tail box. Both helis fly well and about the same. So you gotta decide which you like best.

Only comment is parts... Until this heli gets rolling out to other hobby shops, Trex parts are obviously available everywhere!

I have just about finished building my first heli and have a question about head speed. I'm running a Scorpion HK-2221-8 and wanted to go with an 11t pinion for a max head speed around 2600. I've run into a problem with the 11t in that the diameter is small and won't allow the pinion to mesh with the main gear; doesn't seem to be enough travel on the motor mount. I'm using the inside holes on the motor casing to mount it.

Is there something I'm not seeing?

I thought I could go with a 13t, which I have, for a head speed of 3100 and lower my throttle curves by 15%. That should give me the 2600rpm head speed I'm looking for.

Any comments or other suggestions would be appreciated.

You should be able to get it meshed.... Motor mount reversed maybe?

Thanks for the quick reply Bob. I'll try that.

Bob,

The motor mount was symmetrical. Ended up using a grinding burr in a Dremel tool to lengthen one of the mounting slots. Either the holes in the motor can were too far apart or the mounting slots were not machined long enough.

Either way, problem solved.

BTW, thanks for all the training vids. Helis offer a pretty steep learning curve and your info is invaluable, especially to someone just starting out like myself.

I know I'll take some grief for this question, but here goes. What is the "Canopy Mounting Rubber"?

Doug

It is a rubber grommet that goes in the hole on each side of the canopy where the canopy mounts onto the pins on the frame.

I understand where the grommets go, But there is a one inch square piece of adhesive backed foam also. Maybe so the canopy doesn't rub on something.
