View Full Version : AR9000 won't initialize

On my Logo 500 3D I've got a AR9000 RX and my transmitter is a T12FG with the Spektrum module. Now the receiver won't initialize anymore. The 2 leds go on on the receiver, but the sattelite just blinks. Occasionally it does come on after powering on and off a couple of times.
Any ideas what this could be?

I had to pull the bind plug out while it was blinking once then bind on my JR921 ... seemed odd

Hi Kraaijer,
I had exactly the same problem sometimes with my DX7 and 7000 Rx.
I think it has something to do with how you bind it...., but i'm not sure what's causing it though.
Now when i first turn on my Tx, enable the throttle hold switch..then turn on the Rx-power makes it work...
I suspect it has something to do with the throttle channel and binding, it looks like the Rx goes in some kind of protection mode.
:dontknow

Thx for the replies, but unfortunally that didn't work either.
I've tried to rebind, on the AR9000 both lights come on, but the sattelite just keeps blinking. I've tried both sides of the AR9000 to connect the sattelite...

I wonder if a pin has slipped out on the sat. ant. connection?

Doesn't look that way, and I figure there'd be no lights at all in that case.
I was just able to get it online again, after switching off and back on a couple of times. Weird...

I would pick up another ant and double check those little pins inside

OBS, OBS OBS!
ITS NORMAL!!!
Its the new quickconnect feature, its telling you that it has used the quick-connect (notice that it re-connects much faster)
If you cycle the power on the radio while its disconnected, it will take longer & you get a solid light.
Search RR on R921 & my username to see the me asking the same question and getting response from Paul Beard.

It is normal for the Rx NOT to initialize?

Satellit blinking part is...
This is normal.
The slow blinking on the remotes and the internal radios means that they think that they have detected a Brown-out.
These radios support "Fast Connect" this is a new feature where the receivers check the last connected pair of frequencies and connect to them immediately. The LEDs flash slowly to indicate that this has taken place.
Try connecting and then cycle the power on the heli. The receiver will connect immediately. Cycle a servo whilst switching the power off and on you will see that it hardly misses a beat.

Easy try though, cycle the power on the radio while power to receiver is off, then you get a "full/slow connect"

Aha thanks!
That's cool, We seem to have the newer Rx with the quick connect feature.

Thing is that the rx does not respond to stick input... So it doesn't seem to be that, or the Spektrum module for Futaba doesn't support it maybe?

Then its something else.
But try, if you restart the radio each time when receiver power is off, does it work then?

not sure I follow, what good is restarting the radio when the rx is off...?

That will trigger a normal startup, not a quickstart of the receiver, atleast when using the DX7 & 9303
Other then that, I would have tried another satellit if you have it.

I had this with a faulty satellite - bad connection somewhere on the board - would initialise when I pressed down on it and not when I didn't - try another satellite and lead
