Hi,
Although I'm still 2 years away, I've started researching this project. I'm interested in the Intrepid Turbine and would like to know if Package 1 is all I need to get started? I have the Spectrum system, but would need to include the following:

-receiver, spectrum AR7000
-servos for cyclic
-tail servo and gyro
-Duralite Li-Ion battery system for the Bergen Turbine

Provided I build it correctly and it's all setup right.... it should be ready to fly?

Thanks.
Deron

You'll also need a collective servo,

The UAT or Ultimate Air Trap (available from BVM), http://bvmjets.com/Pages/uat.htm

a trigger for the Powermax propane fuel, We now carry this little gem

a can of Powermax propane fuel,

Kerosene and a container to carry and dispense it (the Jerseymodeler fuel can is great),http://www.jerseymodeler.com/id28.html

Turbine oil to mix in with the Kerosene (recommend BP2380, available at your local FBO).

I too am looking forward to becoming part of the Bergen turbine fraternity with the anticipated MW44 and Magnum 90 Intrepid -- The "44 Magnum" !
Just curious to know if the AR7000 and DX7 combo is sufficient for this chopper or is nine channel preferable ? Any suggestions would be welcomed.

:arggg: Can anyone design an accurate looking Intrepid turbine for G-3.5. The one i have from rcheliace.com flys nice, sounds nice, but has a pull starter, muffler & spark plug:confused: .Eternally grateful to anyone who can solve this problem:noteworthy .Some day when i get those rotten kds of mine through college I will be worthy to purchase one of these fine flying machines.....Maybe I'll make them write the check:bawl.......... Thank you future Turbine Comrades.....

The Turbine doesn't require any more channels than any other engine, so the 7 channel Spectrum should work just fine.

I wish I had the capabilities to change the look of the models in Realflight, as it is I had to wait for Maxx from Germany to import some new colorschemes!! I love the new Flag Canopy....:)

Thanks Chris - Spectrum it will be. Keeping fingers crossed for the results on the 44 Magnum !

Thanks Chris, doesn't sound too bad. I mentioned servos for the cyclic up top... I think I meant collective. Sorry.

Hi Guys,

been reading lot s of the post here. I currently have a Intrepid EB which is a year old, Love it. Just purchased a Intrepid Turbine and am awaiting delivery, looking forward to its arrival. Here in Australia
Bergen is not very well known so its more fun setuping up the heli flying solo on lots of things. The main issue is the interesting conversions from Imperial to metric., I have a lot of chuckles with this.

Even thought my EB is one year old it still has very low hours, so that it just run in. Not much time to fly with four kids.

The forum has been a great help but still having some issues with tuning. Will get it sorted in time.

I'll keep reading and sorting out issues using the forum.

AWESOME HELI

Good timing Deron...

I'd posed similar questions to the folks at Bergen a couple weeks ago and haven't heard back yet. Must be Chris snubbing me. :)

Skidz,

What are your questions? I'd be happy to help you with the answers. Sometimes Chris gets busy and thinks he responded, so it might have slipped his mind. I fly both the Intrepid Gas and Turbine so I should able to answer any question you have.

Well, I'm working on a budget for my impending purchase (by impending I mean sometime after the 1st of the year) and wanted to know how many servos I'd need for the head etc.. Seems most of the questions got answered earlier in the thread. :)

Ya know Ron, if it wasn't for those pesky mortgage and tuition payments, I just might be.. Hell, I'd love to have my turbine all set to go and come hang out with you at the Circle City field all day... Of course, I'd have to invite Trooper Sam to come fly the oil burner since he was kind enough to allow me to fly his Vibe 90 for my waiver flight. :)

Gonna try. I coach my son's Pop Warner football team and I'm not sure if I can get away or not...
