Hello all… pretty much a newb here.

I’ve been tweaking around with my TX on the Blade CX2 ‘LP5DSM’ and can’t seem to get it working (I know not a new problem). Currently I’m trying it in FMS but the problem seems to be that the computer isn’t seeing the dang thing.

I connect my stereo cable to the ‘line in’ and then to the back of the TX ‘in the trainer plug’. When I boot up SmartPropoPlus v 3.3.3 at the bottom (I have an integrated AC97 sound card) it doesn’t list any options as to where I can select the ‘line in’ as the input source. Instead it displays nothing. It does list the sound card, but does not have anything bellow that (I’ll attach a screen shot).

So I pretty much stuck here and pray that one of you may have had the same problem, but figured it out. If you have any ideas, please throw them my way.

You need to change the option in the Drop down from "RealTek HD Audio Output" to "RealTek HD Audio Input". You need to find the input option, then select either line or mic in.

Ok my bad... on that screen shot I had been playing with all of them to see if I could get the option to choose 'line in' or 'mic in' and have not. I'll reattach another one.

I currently have the stereo cable plugged into the ‘line in’ port on the sound card and the ‘trainer’ plug on the back of the TX. When I turn it on both the ‘PPM-Audio v3.0 & Winscope’ they show that the PC is getting the signal. I can move the sticks around and I they do show a response, and with the ‘PPM-Audio v3.0’ you can hit the advanced button select the heli it allows me to do the basic controls (registers the moves).

Now I boot up the FMS and once in it I tried to get it to calibrate. Nothing happens with the bars, then I click on the ‘SmartPropoPlus v3.3.3’ and it still does not list ‘line in’ or ‘mic in’ under the ‘Enable Audio input selection’. Also while in FMS both the ‘PPM-Audio’ and the ‘Winscope’ show that they are still getting a signal, but FMS doesn’t register the controller. So I tried un-checking the ‘Enable Audio input selection’ of course with the same response (which is nothing).

I’ve updated to the latest ‘ac’97’ drivers, used msconfig to turn of the ‘Realtek HD audio manager (thinking that it might cause the problem). I bought another stereo cable, tweaked with the ‘record’ options in control panel, etc. I do notice that I can’t tweak the line in volume or mic in volume (grayed out) so I’m not sure if there is something that’s blocking this or if it’s an option that I’m missing that needs to be selected to get it working. But again the above programs are showing the signal is getting in, just not sure where it’s ending up.

Thanks for any and all help offered,

Chad
